Horse-Back Riding through the rainforest

For me the best days start and ends with great food and today was no exception. We had a delicious breakfast comprised of pancakes, sausages and eggs whilst hummingbirds danced in the air around us. The group I was with went horse-back riding today and although three of the group of six had ridden horses before, I was one of the unexperienced. At first I was nervous but then Titan and I got along fine (apart from the occasional sneaky leaf-grab). We managed to pick up a canter near the end of the trip and I think those with experience enjoyed being back in the saddle and us first-timers loved this new experience.

We also had a little hike and spotted a sloth, capuchins, howler monkeys and a green-and-black poison dart frog.

Lunch was accompanied with an amazing swim in a waterfall.

As we hopped back on our horses we are greeted with a downpour that was, as Jonah would say, hectic. The day was topped off with a delicious taco dinner and a long awaited view of Vúlcan Arenal.
